⁉️ Do you ever wonder what couples discuss in a marriage (relationship) counseling session?
In this episode we review the book from Barbara Peters, LPC titled “He Said, She Said, I Said.” There are 7 total examples in the book of real life counseling sessions where you are presented with all three sides of the conversation… What he said, what she said, and what Barb, as we have nicknamed her, says regarding a particular area of struggle in the relationship.
Communication, trust, erm…feelings…It’s all there!
This would be a great one to listen to with your significant other, just in time for #valentines day!! ❤️

‼️In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, *rn hub solidified it’s monoploy in the adult industry through a series of on-line websites that at the time, received more visits than #Neflix, #Amazon Prime, and other major streaming platforms…often times combined.
More troubling however, is the fact that only 33 content moderators were employed to sift through the thousands, possibly millions of user uploaded videos that contained, in many cases, very real instances of rape, child pornography, and other types of sexual exploits. Further, the company masqueraded as a charitable organization supporting numerous causes in an effort to downplay their role in the sexual exploitation of others with little to no accountability.
In this episode we look at the important work being done by @lailamickelwait, author of “Take Down, Inside The Fight To Shut Down *rnHub” and Christian organization @axisconversations , whose focus is to connect parents with resources to better enable them to connect with teens.
Realistically, believers can struggle with *orn use as much as other demographics and our hope is that this conversation can add a new perspective into the inner workings of this industry and that this conversation could be a catalyst for those seeking to break the bondage of use.

‼️Outside of picking your spouse, what you do for a living could be the most important decision you’ll ever make.
👉🏻 Oftentimes people get “trapped” into a certain line of work because it’s “what they know” and for those that enjoy what they are doing, there is no issue. For others, however, the trap is exactly that…a trap.
👉🏻 On Episode 87 we look at both spiritual and practical practices that might help you get out of the trap and on the road to living with purpose and doing what you are truly passionate about.

‼️We are accustomed, as Believers, to focus on the privelege of Grace we find in Christ’s atonement.
👉🏻 This in fact SHOULD be the emphasis for those that are a New Creation in Christ but without knowing what you are SAVED FROM, the full appreciation of God’s Love, Character, and Nature cannot be realized.
👉🏻 On Episode 86 we unpack some of the scariest warnings in the Bible using commentary to add further insight into these passages.

Dependent Personality Disorder or DPD sufferers feel the constant need to be taken care of and tend to be very clingy to the point of debilitation when faced with being alone or making decisions for themselves.
A Co- Dependent relationship becomes unhealthy when someone gains an addiction to taking care of another person and fulfilling that person’s every need or want, and when the other’s opinion is all that matters, fear of separation from them brings anxiety.
Let’s talk about how we can all show signs of DPD and Co-dependency to varying degrees, and how bringing awareness and knowledge can help us grow and become better.

WHY JUNTO?
Junto, pronounced with a "J" sound is a play off the word "together" in Spanish which is spelled the same way, but pronounced with an "H" sound. My experience in ministry as a pastor, and my time working in a college setting as a student coordinator and professor have inspired this podcast as means of encouragement through the simplicity of conversation.
My adult career has been spent, in one form or another, in engaging with people and if there is anything I have learned, it's that life is better, when we do it together. The Junto Podcast was created with this idea in mind to empower and motivate people through means of leadership, faith, and having a community mindset. While topics may vary from episode to episode, the conversations will always come back to our main ideals of how can I apply this topic to enable me to become a better leader and how can I inspire others to engage in this open and honest dialogue. I hope that you find these episodes enlightening, entertaining, and honest and that they inspire you to join the conversation. Life is truly better, when we do it together.
